POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
The purpose of the Kindness and Compassion Community Day Program is primarily to provide respite for caregivers who care for seniors and dependent adults. However, experience has shown that participants of a community day program as well as their families, benefit from the activities and so social exchange that provides participants often sleep and eat better, their behavior becomes less of a problem, and their communication and motor skills improve.
With such improvements the participants, their families and their caregivers can avoid or postpone placement into a nursing home or long term care facility.
